Important notes
- iPhones bought in mainland China have no eSIM (incl. iPhone 11-13, XS Max, XR).
- Hong Kong / Macau: only iPhone 13 mini, 12 mini, SE (2nd gen) and XS have eSIM.
- iPhone 13/14 and newer can run two eSIMs at the same time.
- iPads: cellular models only; mainland-China iPads ship without eSIM.
- No eSIM on: FE models before S23 FE, US S20/S21/Z Flip 5G, Note 20 Ultra (US/HK), Z Fold 2 (US/HK).
- South-Korea Galaxys mostly lack eSIM — exceptions: S24, S23, Z Fold 5/4, Z Flip 5/4, A54 5G.
- Pixel 2: eSIM only if bought with Google Fi.
- Pixel 3: no eSIM if bought in Australia, Taiwan or Japan.
- Pixel 3 from US/Canadian carriers (except Sprint and Google Fi): not compatible.
- Pixel 3a: no eSIM if bought in Japan, South-East Asia or via Verizon.
